PERCUSSION COURSES |
| Taught by: Issiaka Sanou The participants in this course will learn about traditional rhythmic patterns from the wealthy heritage of the Western African polyrhythmic tradition. These rhythms are more than a thousand years old and were used in various cultural and nature-related rituals of the peoples of Western Africa. The participants will learn to play traditional African percussion instruments and discuss their creation, origins and purpose.
